Dr. Dmytro Roman Kulchitsky is an Associate Professor of International Relations and the current Chair of the Department of International Relations at the American University of Kuwait. Most recently, he served as the Project Lead for AUK’s Technology-Supported Online Initiative that moved the University’s courses online for Spring 2020. Dr. Kulchitsky received his Ph.D. in Public Policy from George Mason University and earned Masters Degrees in Economics at both the University of Detroit and George Mason University. His research interests include: (1) the study of ontology and epistemology in International Relations; (2) nations and nationalism; (3) political economy; and (4) machine learning and research methods. He is also exploring the systematic use of digital technologies and resources in the Social Sciences and Humanities. Prior to Academia, Dr. Kulchitsky worked for the Electronic Data Systems Corporation (EDS) on automation software projects in the US public sector, as well served in the Michigan State House of Representatives.
